BD’s Busch Gardens Summer Bulletin 2016

We are approaching another action-packed summer at Busch Gardens Williamsburg this year, in more ways than one. Big things are happening with the Food & Wine Festival about to begin its fourth season of delicious  international dishes and drinks. Additionally, a new action-adventure show, All For One, will debut as the sun sets over the Royal Palace Theatre this July. But that’s not the only thing on the horizon this summer at Busch Gardens, so let’s take a look!

Park Event Calendar

These detailed calendar pages come from the exclusive Pass Member Fun Tracker that the park releases annually.

Attractions Debuting This Summer:

All For One

Busch Gardens will debut a new action/adventure show in the Royal Palace Theatre this summer! If you couldn’t tell from the name, the show is based on the classic story written by Alexandre Dumas, the Three Musketeers. It will take place at night in the Royal Palace Theatre in Aquitaine, from July through September.

The park is offering special reserved seating opportunities for pass members on July 1. Until the show opens, you can follow the progress on the park’s All For One web page, where they often post updates on the show’s progress here. Things are shaping up on construction for All For One’s stage too, which you can check out in our last photo update of All For One’s construction here. All in all, I have a feeling this show will be unlike anything we’ve seen at the park before.

Events Happening this Summer

Food & Wine Festival (May 27-June 26)

The Food & Wine Festival is about to begin its fourth season! Two new cuisines are joining the lineup this year, Virginia and Hawaii. You can view our outline of all the new Food & Wine menu offerings here, or catch a sneak peak at the latest construction of the Food & Wine Festival here

On the entertainment side, we’ve dug up some new information regarding Food & Wine concerts. The park will host concerts every Friday, and will feature various local bands. Each band will perform several shows throughout the day, and they will all perform on the Bier Garden Stage, next to Der Wirbelwind in Oktoberfest. More information about those concerts can be found here. We’ll keep you posted with updates on the opening of the Food and Wine Festival soon, so stay tuned!

Independence Day Weekend (July 2-4)

As usual, the park will celebrate Independence day with a fireworks display on the days leading up to July 4th. However, unlike past years, this will be your only opportunity to see fireworks this summer and the entire year; the regular summer-long summer event with fireworks has been replaced with All For One.

Lee Greenwood (July 4)

The patriotic singer, Lee Greenwood, returns to Busch Gardens Williamsburg yet again this July 4th to celebrate Independence Day in concert.

Pass Member Ride Nights

Both Busch Gardens and Water Country USA will host Pass Member Ride Nights this August. These special nights allow season pass members to stay in certain areas of the park after it closes for exclusive ride time and other festivities. Busch Gardens’ ride night will be held on August 13th and will take place in Oktoberfest. Additionally, Water Country USA’s ride night will occur on August 5th, and will feature many of the park’s attractions.

We’re already gearing up for an action-packed summer at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, in more ways than All For One! To stay up to date on all of these happenings, and more, be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or join the discussion on the Park Fans Forum! Keep an eye out for future updates and postings on all these happenings as we soak up the summer this year at Busch Gardens

    • Nope. The idea of a summer event began when summertime Royal Palace Theatre shows ended. Now that one is coming back, there will no longer be a summertime event like Star Spangled Nights.
